Firefox Tutor has come a long way in the past 10 months, most notably having gained new authors and contributors, and a second editor. But what we currently have set up is not quite suited for our vision of what Firefox Tutor could be.
Firefox Tutor is currently run using Wordpress, a popular blogging platform. It has worked great so far, but over the months the most popular feature here has definitely been "Ask a Question"; we've received literally hundreds of emails. We know we aren't the only ones with answers, and there are problems we know we can't solve. One of our biggest wants has been a place where Firefox users can talk and give and take help from each other. Thats where the idea for Firefox Tutor v.2 began.
Over the past couple of months we have talked about how the new site should work. Our thoughts kept coming back to user-interaction and contribution. We want you to be able to contribute your tutorials. We want all of you to be a part of the team. So the new site is currently in production - starting late-April we want you to make this the easiest place for people to find help for their favorite browser!
We'll post some more details about v.2 in the next few days!
