I seem to have lost the ability to use my Google search bar in the upper right hand corner(it's on yahoo right now.) I keep trying to add Google as a search engine, but it's not on the list. If you can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. Email me at chuncket@hotmail.com

i agree with the article on almost all counts, and i have actually moved the entire useful contents of the toolbar right next to the firefox menus. i especaly love the search this site button, and other specalised searches, like gmail, but otherwise i just use the sidebar.

Yeah, the spell checker is great. To be honest it is the only feature I use from Google Toolbar too. Well, that's excluding pagerank, but its purely informational.

when i first switched over from IE to firefox, the only thing that bummed me out was that i had lost my google tool bar with the spell check feature.
in the 'Extensions' description for the firefox/google bar, it never mentions that it has the spell check feature, so i searched the web and found it on my own.
thanks for the tip about 'view>toolbars>custom'. i knew i could custom my pimpzilla toolbar and the other firefox toolbars i have, but i didn't know i could take the spellcheck feature off of the google bar and place it onto any other place. it's the only feature i need to complete my browser and firefox aspell just didn't cut it.
now i don't have to click the google bar on and off to save screen space when spell checking these novels i write in text areas.
i might even get rid of my roboform and put my google form filler on my bookmarks bar to save space and time.

I guess it just has to do with the amount of personalization you want. Many people are satisfied with the great features Google Toolbar has, and many others like how Yahoo toolbar links them to other services on the web.
