As summer begins to fade and, for some, fall seems like it has come too soon, we look forward to something great out of the not so secret labs of The Mozilla Foundation™.

Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 (1.4) is scheduled to be released this month. Although this is just a beta release, with the final Firefox 1.5 scheduled for release later this year, it will provide a preview of what is to come in the next version of Firefox. Most important to readers are UI changes that will make the next release slightly easier to navigate, and also the ability to load recently visited web-pages faster than what was possible with Firefox in the past. Numerous bug fixes will also make using Firefox a more enjoyable experience for the average user. Developers of websites and extensions will be happy to know of fixes that effect them.

Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 will be a beta release and will not be meant for general use, but it will give users a preview of what changes Firefox 1.5 will usher in, when released. So look forward to the next few months as Firefox gets even better.
